How to Participate

Participation is Easy!

Step 1

To speak with our staff and set up a tour of our facility call 713-781-7100.  If you choose to begin the screening process to become a HARC Member, our staff will review your records and then call you to reserve a time to begin the Introductory Program if applicable.

Introductory Program
New participants with aphasia and their families/caregivers will be required to take part in this program in order to assess individual level of need.

After we assess your communication and language skills we will recommend which programs at HARC would be the most beneficial.  New members and their caregivers will also be offered training in Supported Communication techinques for adults with aphasia.

HARC is pleased to offer a New Participant Orientation to our new members.

Step 2

Sign up for the programs you wish to attend and then come to HARC on program days. You can come for the entire day or part of the program day, whichever is most convenient for you.

Participation Costs
HARC provides a sliding fee scale to ensure that those who wish to participate are not deterred by financial limitations.
